'I always paint naked
so I can come close enough.
Nothing can come between me and my art. I strip
down
and free myself from the layers of clothings
that serve
only to shield and protect me from the
outside
world's judgement and laid out rules.
I want to be honest when I paint. This is the way
that I see myself when being alone, with
sincerity
and awareness. I love to paint with my hands.
I love to get all smeary and messy, I feel the painting
stronger that way and I see everything much clearer.
I read the colours and connect with them
in a deeper
sense, like a secret gateway.
I step inside the painting,
right into the
heart of it and I blend into the artwork."
